Husband and wife team, Charles and Ruth Simpson have been producing award-winning wines at Domaine de Sainte Rose, their stunning Southern French property, since 2002. In 2012, attracted by the quality of the terroir and the opportunity to become part of what is one of the most dynamic wine producing regions of the world, they brought their winemaking expertise and savoir-faire back to the UK, establishing Simpsons Wine Estate with an aspiration to produce world-class English wines. Their exclusively estate-grown sparkling wines are internationally renowned. We are thrilled to be hosting them and have the opportunity to share their wines with our customers.

Champagne Tribaut began when René Schloesser, a young farmer from Luxembourg, left his homeland for a better life in Champagne. There he met Lucie Coutelas, a young farmer and vine grower from Romery. They got married in 1927. Whilst the Wall Street Crash crippled France, and Champagne merchants stopped buying grapes, René and Lucie decided to sell their own champagne. Just 1000 bottles were produced at the start. Every morning, René would cycle over to Damery station with them stacked on his bike rack. The train would take the bottles to Paris where local family members would take care of selling the wines.

Today, 4th generation brothers, Sébastien and Valentin, continue the tradition of crafting fine Champagnes. Their vineyards are primarily situated in the picturesque villages of Romery, Cormoyeux, and Fleury la Rivière, nestled along the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims. Additionally, they proudly maintain vineyards in the renowned village of Aÿ, classified as Grand Cru and celebrated for its exceptional Pinot Noir.
