The Glenfiddich Distillery
Glenfiddich is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the Scottish burgh of Dufftown in Moray, Scotland. It is owned by William Grant & Sons. The name Glenfiddich derives from the Scottish Gaelic Gleann Fhiodhaich meaning "valley of the deer", which is reflected in Glenfiddich's stag logo. The Glenfiddich Distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown, Scotland, in the glen of the River Fiddich. The Glenfiddich single malt whisky first ran from the stills on Christmas Day, 1887. Glenfiddich is currently managed by the fifth generation of William Grant's descendants.
Onsite there are 43 distinctively-shaped "swan neck" copper pot stills. These stills are smaller than those now in use at most other major distilleries. All stills are handmade and Glenfiddich employs a team of craftsmen and coppersmiths to maintain them. These stills have a capacity of around 21,000,000 liters of spirit.
Glenfiddich is matured in many different casks, such as rum casks from the Caribbean, bourbon whiskey barrels from America, and sherry butts from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
The Lineup
Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Amontillado Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt
Distinctively fresh and fruity with a hint of pear, delicate, dried fruits, and subtle spice. Taste of beautifully sweet, fruity notes enveloped by rich oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of baked apple. Finish is smooth and mellow with a lingering spice.
Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve Single Malt
Offers a rich and sweet flavor profile with notes of vanilla, toffee, and candied orange peel, complemented by spicy oak and a lingering sweetness on the finish. It's known for its bourbon-forward characteristics while retaining the classic profile.
Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Cask Single Malt
Offers a delightful and nuanced experience, making it a popular choice for both new and experienced whisky drinkers. The Solera process, inspired by Spanish sherry bodegas, contributes to its consistent character and layers of flavor.
Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva Caribbean Rum Cask Single Malt
An exquisite, traditional Speyside whisky aged for 21 years, our innovative rum cask finish adds extra sweet and exotic notes, creating a rich, decadent, and luxurious single malt. Finished in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks for up to four months.
Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru Cuvée Cask Single Malt
Fresh, fruity notes of green apple, floral hints, some citrus, malt, oak, vanilla - hints of dried fruit form the complex bouquet. Harmonious palate, soft, supple on the body, notes of brioche and light-colored fruit are accompanied by a subtle savoriness.
Christiano Protti, Glenfiddich Whisky Ambassador
Christiano joined the company in 2013 and made a lasting impact on the luxury landscape in Latin America, promoting Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. In 2019, he relocated to Mexico City as a Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich, and subsequently took on the additional role of Brand Ambassador for The Balvenie. He focuses on promoting the Glenfiddich Experimental Series and other high-end, single-malt expressions.
