“Villa Calcinaia is an historic estate located in the heart of Chianti Classico. The Capponi family has owned the estate since 1524, and is one of only three Chianti Classico producers to maintain original family ownership. Their small, 75 acre estate is 100% organic and committed to producing text-book Chianti Classico, almost entirely from the Sangiovese grape. This is a rare event, as the boutique wines of Villa Calcinaia have a small footprint in the U.S., and are only publicly showcased a few times throughout the year.
