Delicious, fragrant, incredibly aromatic grape of Morokanella. Pale lemon green color with bright acidity. Elegant bouquet of fresh apricot, peach and some herbal notes with a finely textured and crisp finish. Paris beautifully with the Mediterranean.

"The 2017 Woman in the Wine Press is a Morokanella, unoaked and coming in with 11.5% alcohol, 2.1 grams of residual sugar and 4.8 of total acidity. This was sourced from 70-year-old ungrafted bush vines. The name, referencing the grape's color, means "baby cinnamon." The price here is rather substantial—there were about 180 bottles imported of 650 produced—but I liked the wine a lot. Absolutely gripping on the finish, this fresh white lingers nicely and shows off considerable power without overwhelming the fruit. The depth is excellent. The focus and precision are even better. The only remaining question will be how well this ages—at the price level, it surely needs to be more than a simple sipper. It should hold well, but we'll see in time. It may yet have some upside potential."
